Uplift Bus Driver
Employment Type – Casual
Our Uplift bus drivers are a critical part of the Maydena Bike Park team. Responsible for getting our riders to the trails safely, our Uplift driver team have the most contact with our guests throughout the day. We are looking for fun, responsible drivers who enjoy getting to know new people. An interest in mountain biking and outdoor activities is an asset for this role.
Qualifications Required:
- Personal Passenger Vehicle Ancillary Certificate (PPV).
- Working with Vulnerable People accreditation.
- Light-rigid License.
- Minimum 19 years of age.
Line Cook
Employment Type – Casual
Food and mountain biking go hand in hand, keeping our riders and guests satisfied with delicious, fresh food is an essential part of our business. We are looking for experienced line cooks who will work with our Head Chef to continue delivering top quality food. This is a unique opportunity to cook amazing food surrounded by the Tasmanian wilderness.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Tasmanian Food Handling Certificate
- Experience in high paced kitchen environment
- Willingness to learn and adapt to changing environments
- Interest in mountain biking or outdoor activities is an asset
Barista / Café Attendant
Employment Type – Casual
At Maydena Bike Park we believe that every good ride starts with a good coffee. We take a lot of pride in our coffee and guest experience, and are looking for friendly, outgoing people to host our guests in our Café.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Experience preparing high quality coffee and hospitality experience preferred
- Fun and friendly personality
- Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) from Tasmanian Alcohol and Gaming Commission
- Working with Vulnerable People Accreditation
Bike Mechanic
Employment Type – Casual
At Maydena Bike Park our goal is to keep our guests riding as much as they desire. Our experienced team in the workshop is key to keeping our riders’ tires in the dirt for their entire trip. We are seeking out 1-2 mechanics to work with our shop manager Luke to keep our hire fleet in great shape and our guests bikes rolling for the 2022/2023 season. Qualifications & Experience:
- 3 years of experience working as a bike mechanic is preferable
- Comfortable working with people and setting up demo bikes
- Comfortable working in fast paced working environment
- Love for mountain biking is a desirable attribute
Guest Services Attendant
Employment Type – Casual
Our Guest Services team are the first port of call for anyone joining us at Maydena Bike Park and will set the tone for our guests’ visit. Pro Patroller
Employment Type – Casual
MBP is seeking casual Bike Patrollers for the 2022/23 Season. Our bike patrol team provides First Aid and extrication support for our day-to-day operations, as well for events (as part of a larger team). We have a number of exciting events scheduled for this season, including MBP’s own Enduro Jam and the first round of the Enduro World Series.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Wilderness First Aid or equivalent / higher (i.e. ASPA, Bachelor or Nursing / Paramedicine). Currency is preferred however there may be potential to refresh with MBP.
- Current Driver’s Licence (any State / Territory acceptable).
Physical Capabilities:
- An intermediate to advanced level of mountain bike skill, enabling you to comfortably access most blue trails.
- Sufficient fitness to enable you to walk over steep terrain, including carrying or managing heavy and/or awkward loads.

Volunteer Patroller
MBP is looking for enthusiastic mountain bikers with medical or wilderness first aid training to join our re-designed volunteer patrol program. This is a unique opportunity to ride and explore Maydena Bike Park while also developing skills in hands-on patient assessment, management of trauma patients and extrication from mountain bike trails.
If you are a Paramedic or Nurse seeking to expand your exposure to trauma, a Paramedic or Nursing student, or an outdoor guide with a Wilderness First Aid seeking clinical exposure, this opportunity might be for you!
We aim to develop a team of Volunteers to assist with some of our exciting upcoming events, including the first round of the Enduro World Series. If you are unable to make the events there are plenty of day-to-day opportunities throughout the season as well.
Short listed applicants for both Pro Patroller and Volunteer positions will be invited to attend one of two recruitment days, providing an opportunity to meet a great group of people and get involved in our team training scenarios.
