The Summit Sunset Aprés is the perfect way to wrap up your day in Tasmania’s Southwest.  Enjoy local food from our chef Matt Griggs and refreshments from MooBrew and Willie Smiths as the sun sets over alpine views across the stunning Tasmanian Wilderness.

High above the South West Wilderness, our Summit Building has stunning views, and some of the best sunsets you’ll find anywhere in the world. Finish your day at 1,100m above sea level with a Moo Brew Beer or Willie Smiths Cider every Saturday this January.

Get an uplift to the Summit for $25 and take in the views. Our buses depart regularly from the base from 4 – 9 pm. (includes Uplift only, food and drinks sold separately)

DINNER WITH A DIFFERENCE

Unique to The Summit venue, the panoramic view overlooking the dramatic Southwest wilderness is the best spot to wrap up your day in the Derwent Valley. A reimagined dining offering will give guests the opportunity to choose our Chef’s Feast which incorporates seasonal rotating dishes from our head chef Matt Griggs each week. If you are looking for a more laid back dining experience, grab a bite to eat from our new a la carte menu. Pair your meal with some of Tasmania’s finest wine, beer and spirits from our partners at Moo Brew and Willie Smith’s.

Chef’s Feast can be purchased inclusive with the uplift for $70. The Summit menu will be available separately, with weekly rotating dishes.

SUNSET AT THE SUMMIT

The Summit building will now be open from 4:00 pm – 9:00 pm and buses will leave approximately every 30 mins from the base and summit, with the frequency increasing based on demand. With a flexible operating format and the new and improved menu, everyone can join us this summer for a sunset at the Eagles Eyrie.
